How we helped one Central Government Department transform for Cloud Hosting
One large Central Government Department wanted to build a multi hybrid cloud hosting solution and transition applications there whilst meeting contract end dates.
In just one year, we built and migrated over 80 applications to AWS and Azure, rebuilding, and refactoring applications to be cloud native. We also transformed the team to agile, product-centric working patterns around a Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) delivery model through GitHub, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana and many modern, portable, cloud native solutions.
For this organisation, gone are the days of outsourced contracts, two-year release cycles and silo working but a modern, cloud operating model, that has saved over £60M.

Fully Embracing M365
How we supported Local Government to maximise M365
Moving to a fully enabled Microsoft M365 platform has many benefits.
This organisation had migrated a handful of users to Teams but had challenges integrating their different Skype and Teams modes and were worried about data policies in the move from SharePoint to full Microsoft Teams. They also had a large on-premise Exchange server estate.
In just a few weeks we had configured the target environment, got the design and policies agreed, and completed that first Alpha migration to Exchange Online and Teams. The council were so pleased they asked us to stay and complete a few Beta migrations too. They were then confident to complete the rollout themselves knowing we were always on hand should they encounter any issues.

Migrate to Azure for Datacentre Exit
How we supported blue light services to migrate to cloud
Police services across the United Kingdom host some highly sensitive information.
This one force wanted to discover if they could host some of their data in Azure to enable datacentre exit, and give them increased resiliency and business continuity.
Through a Discovery and User Engagement exercise, we identified applications and services that could move to Azure, whilst others could be relocated to their on-premise datacentre. Together we agreed the optimum cutover windows and carefully moved data and services across.
It was a bold step for this force, but it went without incident, and they were able to exit the building previously used for failover.
